What matters

Where I Stand

Harrison Hot Springs is a small community with some big decisions ahead.

The choices we make about infrastructure, growth, public land, emergency preparedness, the environment and spending will affect Harrison for many years.

I believe we need to look beyond the next project or the next budget.

We need to take care of the infrastructure and services we depend on, plan for emergencies, protect the natural areas that make Harrison special and make sure growth is supported by the infrastructure needed to handle it.

We also need to remember that Harrison is more than a tourism destination. It is our home.

I want Harrison to be a community where families can put down roots, seniors can remain part of the community, local businesses can succeed and residents can enjoy the benefits of living in a place that people from around the world come to visit.

I believe public money and public land need to be treated carefully. Major decisions should be based on good information, realistic costs and a clear understanding of the long term consequences.

And residents should be able to see how those decisions are being made.

The pages in this section explain where I stand on the issues I believe are important to Harrison and the approach I would bring to Council.

I will not promise that one councillor can deliver every outcome.

I can promise to do my homework, ask questions, listen to residents and consider what today's decisions will mean for Harrison tomorrow.
